WELCOME LILY NELEH

Our new little niece was born on Friday morning. My sister Sam said that the hospital admitted her at 6:15 a.m. and at 6:29 a.m. she had her baby. her name is Lily Neleh Burt. She weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. and I think that she was 20 inches long. She is an adorable baby. She has dark hair, it is darker than any of my babies.
On Saturday the doctor thought that she might have a whole in her esophagus. So lily was flown to Children's Mercy in Kansas City. Her daddy was able to go with her. After Sam was released from the hospital James and I drove her and their van up to Kansas City. It was a lot of fun spending three hours just my sister and I. I was able to go and see her for a few minutes before visiting hours were over.
We left Sam and Nathan there and went and got some dinner. Oh who could pass up Gates while you are in Kansas City. It was so good. I purposefully got too much food so that I could take it home. On our way home we had to stop in Nevada and sleep awhile. We were both tired. We got back to my moms at 5:30 a.m. Needless to say we were tired through the day. We did get some sleep though.
They found out that Lily was missed diagnosed and that she had acid reflux and they think that she didn't like it and would hold her breath which would cause her oxygen level to drop. The were going to observe her for 48 hours and then send her home.
During this time, she ended up having a very low fever. They wanted to run more tests and they put her on an antibiotic. It sounds as though she will be there until the weekend. But everything else is fine. Sam said that she eats good. We are glad that she is in good hands and being taken care of by some of the best doctors. Everyone is excited for her to come home.
