Three out of the four boys in this house have complained about the dishwasher. "It isn't getting the dishes clean." "You can't put so many dishes in there. They will not come clean." "What is this film on the cups, and why doesn't it come off?" We have tried different soaps and nothing has worked. So today I took the dishwasher out of the kitchen. I put a shelf where the dishwasher was and it looks great. Now you can even get to Adalyn's room without squeezing between the refrigerator and the dishwasher.
This means that we will be washing dishes by hand. I think that it will be me doing the dishes mostly. The boys have been putting them away after I wash them without complaining. It has been nice. But it has only been a few days that I have been hand washing.
While rearranging a few things I decided that I will clean the kitchen. Man does it look good. Maybe I am in the cleaning mood. I am not sure. I am excited that the kitchen is clean and I always hope that it stays that way. But deep down I know that with seven people in and out all day long that is just a dream. I can always dream, can't I?
