Weather and life's tidbits

WEATHER
What crazy weather we have had here lately.  The other day we had a 70 degree day.  Don't get me wrong I loved this weather and got a lot done.  But the next day was freezing cold.  I don't enjoy this up and down weather.  I wish it would be either cold or warm.  It could even be cold for a week, and warm for a week.  As long as it doesn't change everyday.

CLOTHES
Since I had nice weather to enjoy I decided to out to the big garage and start going through things.  As I started going through clothes I couldn't believe how many I had.  I have saved almost all my children's clothes.  When the seasons changed I went out dug out the totes and did the dreadful going through clothes to see what fits.  Sometimes my children were given enough clothes that we didn't have to go through the totes.  Guess what I did! I got rid of all those clothes.  Haylea, Adalyn and I put them into bags and took them to St. Vincents, the local thrift store.  I didn't even look in the bags,  I know there might have been something that I needed to save, but I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  I also have a lot less things that will go to the next house with us.  We will go to the thrift store and get clothes, and then give them away when we are done.  I think I might like this a lot better.

SCHOOL
James got an email from his school yesterday.  They have received everything and we have up to six weeks to hear back from them.  That would make it the end of February.  The school says that they get about 15,000 applications so the selection takes awhile.  We will wait, me being patient, and see the results.  So much of what I get rid of depends on if he gets into this school.  I feel as though I am in limbo.

CLEAN HOUSE
I have to clean the house again so someone can look at it.  I am grateful to have 24 hours notice.  Not that it takes me that long, but it is great.  It is kind of nice because we end up having a super clean house once in awhile. It really keeps me on my toes.  The first time we had to do it I was nervous and didn't really want to do it.  Now for the third time I think of what a blessing it is to have to really clean the house.  I throw the old papers away  and weed through things.  I have realized that the toys don't really get played with so they will go to a family that would love to have them.  One less thing.

PING PONG
The rec center here is having a ping pong tournament.  For those of you that know my husband, you know that he loves ping pong.  He went last night and had a lot of fun.  His first game was against Blake.  I didn't get to watch it all.  But when I cam back an hour later he was still playing.  I am glad that he as found something that he enjoys doing.  He is really looking forward to next week.

Enough of my rambling.  Have a great day.
